You can’t just slap up a video and hope for the best. You need to take destiny into your own hands and make your video successful.

It Doesn’t Engage

Your video needs to engage, even if your video marketing is targeting a boring niche that most people don’t get excited about. There is a difference between making a video and making an engaging video. The engaging video talks to your viewer’s true concerns. If you are in the B2B market, then don’t just say that you can save people money. Tell them exactly how your service will save them money.

If you are marketing to concerns, then address their concerns and offer them a solution. This not only makes people interested in your business, but it also increases the likelihood that the viewer will go to your website to buy your product.

You’re Not Optimizing

Just like articles with article marketing, your video marketing won’t get many views if you don’t optimize them. You need to optimize the video when you place it online, and you also need to optimize it after the video is uploaded. The first step involves using the right keywords and descriptions.

Most search engines are built to understand text. That means that they will only be able to use your keywords and description as a guiding light to understanding your videos. For example, your video can be about fiber rich foods, but it might rank for some completely different keywords because you didn’t enter a description. Make sure that the keywords and description do a good job of conveying what your video is about.

You also need to build links and get your video some exposure. Get links through article marketing, placing the video on social bookmarking websites and adding the video to your blog. You can increase your exposure by telling your list about the video, or by mentioning the video on forums and social media sites.

Being Too Pushy

Some people are a little too pushy about their video marketing, and this is even worse than not optimizing your video. Being too pushy polarizes your audience. Instead of getting them interested, they will revolt by getting mad and refusing to watch your videos.

You need to be subtle about your marketing because people don’t like being told what to do. It’s much better to just mention your video than to tell people over and over again to watch it.

The most common reason why video marketing doesn’t work for some people is because they don’t know what to do after making the video. There is still a sizable amount of work that needs to be done once the video is uploaded, but it’s not that difficult if you set your mind to it and work to give your video some exposure.
