YouTube Launches InVideo Programming: Brand and Promote Your Videos

by Michael

YouTube has silently rolled out a new feature where you can brand your videos using a logo and also promote your channel or a single important video across all your channels. This is great for publishers who focus on a single channel to get maximum views and subscribers. I heard that YouTube has not activated this feature to all the accounts yet, but I have got it for all my accounts. You should go and check in your YouTube settings.

Inside you will be having two options. One for featuring your channel branding across all videos and another for featuring a single video across all the videos.

Featuring Your Channel

By default you will see your channel avatar as the icon for branding but you can also change it to a custom logo.

You have 4 options for placement. Top right and left. Bottom right and left. You need to place it in such a way that it doesn’t clash with the featured video (if you are having one).

Featuring a Video

You can promote your latest video or a video which sells your product or service across all your videos. To do this simple click featured video button and select a video from your channel. You can also enter any YouTube URL here, even other’s YouTube video or your own video from another channel. I think this opens up a big opportunity for inter-channel promotion of videos and also advertising. I am not sure about the YouTube TOS on whether this feature can be used for advertising other’s videos in return for a charge.

Has this feature been activated in your account yet? Please try and let me know. Also leave a comment if you have any questions!
